Testing out the new pivot popup die from Lawn Fawn

I was totally crazy about Lawn Fawn's spring release since it contained a die for a type of card that I really wanted to make for a while. It looks very plain on the outside but on the inside, that's where you have all the action. If you want to see it spin and popup, check it out on my Instagram-post.
Lawn Fawn alpaca stamp set
I used Lawn Fawn patterned papers from Perfectly Plaid Chill collection. The little alpaca is also Lawn Fawn as welll as the Happy birthday which comes from the Happy happy happy stamp set and die. The snowflakes are Sizzix dies.

The card when it unfolds. Just love this die set. The panel is colored with distress inks in Wilted violet, Salty ocean and Blueprint sketch. The sentiments and snowflakes are heat embossed in white. The critters are colored with Zig clean color real brush markers.

Peek-a-boo seals

Time to use all those colored seals from the other day. Had this card in mind for a while and wanted to try it out. I made two and just used different patterned paper and a bit different mountain layout. All things Lawn Fawn except for the circle die which comes from My Favorite Things.

Love that little "M'WAH"!

Happy heart day with cute seals in red/pink

I used the cute Lawn Fawn set Sealed with a kiss. The background is done with Distress Oxide Inks in Candied apple and Picked Raspberry and a stencil from 13Arts.

Heat embossing and watercoloring Wplus9 Ranunculus stamp set

I saw Dawn from Wplus9 watercolor this particular stamp set about a year ago and just HAD to have it. Last time I ordered from SSS it was available again and I finally got it. I immediately wanted to watercolor it with distress inks just as I had seen her do. With the video on repeat to pick up all the good tips, I tried out two panels. I was quite pleased with this first result. I loved coloring like that. Need to try it again (...and again... and again *smile*)
The image is stamped twice at different angles and then I heat embossed it. I used a ton of Distress Ink colors. The card is finished off with a stacked sentiment from Lawn Fawn. The bottom layer is done in black and placed a little off so that you get a drop shadow. I also added some sequins and clear droplets from Pretty Pink Posh.

Second version with slightly different color variation on the flowers.

Seal popup surprise card

I saw a video a year ago with the talented Nina-Marie Trapani and I was totally intrigued and had to try it out. I liked it so much so I had to do it again this year. I used the little Lawn Fawn seals on the front. The inside is done with distress inks and a 13Arts stencil.

Go check out the video for how to make them. Remember to crease the folds REALLY well. To get the first measurements correct I score the first lines in my paper trimmer. That helps the fold to be truly symmetrical. I use my bone folder for all the folds.
